Everyone has some sort of plant that they like/draw inspiration from/ draw a whole lot. My friend Elysia's is the sunflower. Mine's a mushroom, which isn't a plant per say but is still an organic growy thing so it works.
Anyway I had painting class today and was stoked becasue I had been under the impression that this would be basically a study period like affair where I could paint whatever I damn well felt like. Unfortunalty it was another crappy still life (damn you Elysia for getting my hopes up). So now to vent my pent up need to paint mushrooms feeling I'm scouring the internet for mushroom pictures and printing them out so I can paint a mushroom forest, with flying fish and lamps made of flowers and a road made of moss and glowing balls of light and....
Later: I ran through my almost completly brand new color ink cartrages on my printer. It almost makes me want to run to the school and print everything off there, but these are mushrooms, half the fun is in their colors. Maybe I'll buy a guide book instead (Used at Powells?).
